Automobile Body Works Co was registered to commence business in 1983. Our humble beginning started off with a team of 4 workers in a small garage next to the ownerai??i??s residence at 349-F Jalan Tanjung Tokong, Penang. Two years passed with unfailing support from clients and friends. With great confidence, the company managed to land a contract to undertake spray painting and panel beating repair jobs from Rothmans of Pall Mall (M) Bhd branches in the northern state of Malaysia. As expansion was the next eminent step to do, the workshop moved to a new location in 99 Jalan Tanjung Tokong in 1986 where we have remained till this date. Our clientele list began to expand to include
hotels along the coastal resort beach of Batu Ferringhi, close to the fast expanding township of Pulau Tikus, Tanjung Bunga and downtown capital city Georgetown, Penang. Soon we even had clients from the developing Free Trade Zone of Bayan Lepas with a small share from Butterworth across the island. With the impending regularization of motor workshop by Persatuan Insurans Am Malaysia (PIAM) to undertake motor insurance repair, the company then further embarked on the process for approval such as upgrading tow truck services, machinery, equipment, spray booths and other services including an efficient call man team. In 1991 the company became an authorized PIAM workshop. Following that valued appointment, the company subsequently became an authorized workshop for Automobile Association of Malaysia (AAM). We now serve 21 insurance companies practicing approved panel workshop. In September 1999 The British Petroleum (BP) further enhanced and upgraded our workshop with Special Tools, Hydraulic Jacks, Engine Oil Pumps, Compressors and other related tools. BP also provided training to our mechanics. Realizing that upgrading our workshop alone is not enough, we set up a Customer Service Department to improve customer services by providing assistance in accident reporting process, claim documentation procedures and after repair services. This guarantee follow-ups to both individuals as well as corporate clients. Today on the same site we have added another 25,000 square feet to enhance and
sectionalize work procedure to better support our ever growing business. As further evidence of our positive decision, we are appointed as Authorised Repair and Service Center for both Eon and Perodua. We are backed up by a strength of 56 management and staff team.
