Centre Point Motor began operation on 1 April 1994 by Mr. Lam Yew Fatt and later on 20 April 2005 incorporated as a private limited company with its name changed to KK CENTRE POINT MOTOR SDN BHD.

KK CENTRE POINT MOTOR SDN BHD began as a small motor repair and service outlet. Due to bisness expansion, the workshop move to a new and bigger premise/compound at Lot 136, Lok Kawi Industrial Estate, Phase 1, 88300 Kota Kinabalu in May 2010. Extra skilled mechanics, car body panel beaters and spray painters were hen employed to cope with the increased number of vehicles, trucks, 4WD, lorries (including 10 tonnes) replacement of auto parts and/ or general services.

To date, the workshop continue to provide auto repair services and assist in insurance claims for several other companies and individual in the municipality of Kota Kinabalu.
