Smooth Fortune Motor Sdn Bhd is managed by an experienced workshop director, Mr Yap Yoon Fook supported by a team of dedicated administrative and technical staff. Currently, the company employs one administrator, one office clerk, two foremen, two mechanics, one electrician, four panel beaters, four spray painters, three apprentices and three tow truck drivers.
The workshop is well equipped with the latest smash repair machineries and equipments for panel beating and spray painting. We also have a team of experienced office staff who are well versed with office administration, accounting, insurance claims, and contracts matters. A fleet of modern tow trucks compliment the company’s 24 hours towing service for the entire state of Sabah.

HISTORY

In the year 1979, our company was registered under the trade’s name of Soon Fook Motor at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. In 1990, we built our own workshop on our own piece of property industry and approved by government for operation of workshop at Lot No 54, Phase 1, Mile 12, Lok Kawi Industrial Area, Jalan Papar Baru (highway) 89580 Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Moreover, a self-owned spare parts shop was set up next to the workshop.
Being an approved industrial workshop, it was built as a detached building constructed with steel and wooden structure. It has ample partition for repair jobs, maintenance, spray
painting, shaded parking lots and servicing. It is considered as one of the largest workshops in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and the only workshops in Lok Kawi area, which is under the District of Papar.
In the early year of operation, repair of engine and body of the damaged vehicle, performing welding and painting of vehicle for general public and also involved in some repair works of vehicle on insurance claims. For the last eighteen years, our business has added services such as accident vehicle recovery services, which engaged in services mainly on repairing of vehicles on insurance claims. Our regular clients are mostly insurance companies.
Since the establishment of our company till to date, it has successfully operated and has
rendered good and satisfactory services to our customers.
